We're not your 'typical school'
We are a very unique centre offering mainly the International Cambridge syllabus for high school students from Grade 6 -12 and above. We offer a wide variety of subjects for full time and part time students as well as extra lessons. We can also offer assistance to students doing other curricula, both local or online.

Although we are not a registered school, (as we don't set the external examinations for our students to write their Cambridge or GED exams) we are an established education centre that prepares each of our students every step of the way so that they can reach their maximum potential in their exams.

History
Heather Cicatello founded VTC House back in 2002, and her goal was to create a safe and educational environment for students wishing to take an alternative route to the South African public school curriculum and matric certificate.
It was very clear to that the Cambridge curriculum was the way to go as it is not only a worldwide recognized syllabus, but it is also highly regarded when applying to universities in South Africa and abroad.

Established in 2002, we have grown significantly and established ourselves as one of the leading Cambridge teaching centres in South Africa based on our students' excellent results. VTC House has not only grown in number but also in quality as our excellent recent results and we have been associated with high quality education in the country.

In 2015, after noticing the need for GED students to be supported, we started offering GED (USA) teaching which we offer online and on campus.

In July 2024, out of the need to grow into a large campus, we moved to our new campus at 16 Recreation Road, Fish Hoek at which time, Bryan Steel has taken over as principal from Heather, who continues to support him as Vice-Principal.

Approach to learning
Our unique approach to teaching is well regarded. Each of our teachers is carefully hand selected on not only their experience but also their whole holistic approach to teaching. We also make sure that our teaching classes are individual or in very small groups, depending on the subject and level.

Our strength is our Christian approach to developing the whole person’s character and life-preparedness, along with academic success. We regularly invite guest speakers to come and talk to our students about teenage issues and career guidance. We provide a nurturing and supportive environment that can positively impact the growth of our students at this important stage of their lives.

Over the last 15 years, VTC House has established strong relationships with different international schools and public schools in Cape Town who recognize and support our approach.
